Creative aspect - select one of the following projects:

  1. Using the knowledge that you have about composting, create a plan for Perspectives to have composting. Consider space, time, and how much work it will take. Also, discuss where you will get the materials (compsot bins, coffee grounds, newspapers, etc.).
  2. Using your marketing ability, create a marketing strategy to get people to compost. Develop a speech that you would give to Ms. Wright on the pros and cons, create posters that will entice people to compost, and even create a poster about what can be composted for the kitchen staff. We will be working on this project on Thursday in class. It will be due Friday. You may work in groups, but there can ONLY be 3 people in the group.
  3. Using your math skills, design a box that we can use to compost. 1) Design the box; 2) Figure out what wood and hardware (screws, bolts, etc.) you will need; 3) Go to http://homedepot.com and find out what the cost will be.
  4. Using your math skills, design a greenhouse that we can use to house the compost bins. 1) Design the greenhouse; 2) Figure out what materials (metal, wood, screws, bolts, etc.) you will need; 3) Go to http://homedepot.com and find out what the cost will be. (You might find the greenhouse blueprints on the computer)
